My Love Affair with Italy

As a teenager I was obsessed with Italy and the Italian language – despite only having been to Italy once (the Amalfi coast).

At University, I completed a Joint Honours BA degree in French and Italian: Literature and Language and spent a year living and working in Milan. It was not the year I was expecting.

I didn’t return to Italy for the next 13 years, until we spent a week in a villa by Lake Como to celebrate my brother’s 40th. That’s when I realized that although I may never live in Italy again, it’s a pretty amazing place to visit.

Last summer (2019) I spent a week in Puglia and it was everything and more that I’d dreamed of. I can’t wait to go back!
