What better way to enjoy the Caribbean waters and beautiful vistas of St Lucia than by sailboat?!

We knew we wanted to spend a day at sea during our time in St Lucia and I’m so thankful we decided to go with Jus’ Sail. Their 5-star reviews on Trip Advisor are 100% deserved. We decided on the full-day charter and had the most amazing experience.

Jus’ Sail arranged for a taxi to pick us up from our villa in Rodney Bay and drop us off at the marina (and then pick us up again at the end of the day). They don’t make any commission from this, and it was so nice to have it all arranged for us.

Captain James welcomed us aboard and introduced us to first mate O.B. Cpt. James is originally from England and moved to St Lucia about 10 years ago. O.B. is from St Lucia and, we found out at the end of our trip, is part of Jus’ Sail’s Youth Training Programme. They were both absolutely charming and we thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with them aboard their gorgeous wooden sloop.

Delicious snacks

We indulged in all the delicious drinks and snacks on offer, especially the coconut water and rum punch, as we sailed down the coastline. We passed Marigot Bay and headed into an inlet to do some swimming and snorkeling. The water was incredibly clear and the snorkeling was fantastic!

We then headed back up to Marigot Bay and enjoyed the most delicious lunch at Masala Bay. The setting was as gorgeous as the food!

Masala Bay

We had a little time to shop in the cute boutiques in Marigot Bay and then it was back on board and time to sail back up the coast. Captain James and O.B. treated us to some serious keeling on the way home, which was great fun! They tipped the boat at such an angle, we were all squeeling and laughing. So. much. fun.

Loving life

We ended back up by Pigeon Island for sunset.

Captain James treated us to some black cake and rum 😉

It was the most perfect day. We all agreed that it was the highlight of our St Lucia trip!
